Gale Brownell has served very actively with the Sonoma County Task Force for the Homeless, the Continuum of Care, and the Sonoma County Housing Coalition, appearing at numerous public hearings to educate and advocate about housing and homeless issues. The Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce named her the 2007 Humanitarian of the Year.
